Canada Investment Summit starts with major tax incentive

Prime Minister Mark Carney officially opened the Canada Investment Summit in Toronto on Tuesday.

He used the summit to roll out a fresh Productivity Mega Deduction. The deduction is a tax incentive designed to make Canada the best positioned G7 country for business investment. Officials called it a game changer.

Carney also told the summit that rules around visas will be talked through with the European Union. Police brought charges after a demonstration at the summit.
