The typhoon previously struck southern Japan. At least three people were hurt there. Power was lost across more than 34,000 households. Government sea warnings and weather alerts remain in place throughout Taiwan, Zhejiang, Fujian, and ten provinces and cities as the storm makes its closest approach tomorrow.
