Nelson Toburen, a linebacker who claimed two NFL titles with the Green Bay Packers under coach Vince Lombardi, has died at 87 after a fight against cancer.
Toburen played during the Lombardi era, a standout chapter in Packers history. The team dominated professional football during those years, and Toburen contributed to that winning period.
After his time on the field was over, Toburen went on to serve as a judge in Kansas, a role that defined much of his later life.
