Sami Zayn took the Undisputed WWE Championship by beating CM Punk. That result came out of the September 11 Friday Night SmackDown in Mexico City. The show ended in a frantic final match for the finish. WWE posted a full match video to their site. Bleacher Report gave match ratings, live grades, and crowd responses from the live crowd. Fox News also reported the title change.

Zayn left with the title after the fight as the new champion. The SmackDown main event finished with Zayn holding the belt before the crowd. No other match details were made public from the event. That turned out to be the September 11 edition of the broadcast.
