Max Verstappen won the Formula 1 sprint race at Marina Bay in Singapore on Saturday after race leader George Russell crashed out in wet conditions. Verstappen also secured pole for the main grand prix, capping a big day for the Red Bull driver.
A collision between Sergio Perez and Lance Stroll turned heads during the sprint. After his win, Verstappen told reporters F1 should get rid of sprint weekends at circuits like Singapore, where overtaking is extremely difficult. The main race is scheduled for Sunday.
