A marine mammal was transferred from Marineland in Niagara Falls, Ontario to a Chicago aquarium. It died shortly after the move. The move happened before the animal died.
Marineland also relocated four dolphins and two belugas to an aquarium in Spain. Now the park has no remaining dolphins. Only belugas stay at the park.
The transfer left the grounds much quieter. Staff inspect the water and health conditions. Visitors see far fewer animals. The park’s visitor count decreased.
The wooded surroundings remain the same. The water is still strong. The park houses only a few belugas. Visitors observe fewer scheduled shows. The water stays clear.
